Latest challenge - The Hilly Coast to Coast route of Walney to Whitby - 180 Miles

You might think this was a fairly flat route - but it seeks out all the steepest hills on offer

The Lands End to John o Groats Challenge - 2010

We've done some long rides before, but this was the big one!

  • Ddistance 1,000 miles (hilly)
  • 80 hours cycling
  • 1,000,000 pedal strokes
  • 0ver 10,000 metres of ascent (more than everest!)

Target - 12 days riding with 2 rest days en-route.

Start Date July 29th 2010

All sponsorship money will go to Action Aid

Tandems are great fun, but cycling Lands End to John o' Groats was certainly tough at times.

But we made it in 12 days cycling. Averaging 95 miles and 3,500 feet of ascent per day.
